is the ps3 worth all the attention and the price?

im thinking of asking ps3 for new year. i got the psp daxter, xbox 360, ipod nano, and a video cam. thanks for the replies, by the way. i have the call of duty 4, halo 3, assassin`s creed, madden 07 and 08, baseball, and some from cartoons:), which i really, really like. does the ps3 have a lot of games? thanks for replying, ya all.

1. The PS3 is nice because it has great graphics, not quite that of the 360, but still very good (especially if you use an HDMI cable). The 360 has a lot of console exclusive games, meaning that they are only made for that console. The ps3, on the other hand, seems to have a smaller amount of console exclusive games. It does have "a lot" of games, but most of these games are available on other consoles as well.
