Where is a good website to get an estimate of what my baseball memorabilia is worth?

Hi, I have a few things that i am interested in selling on eBay. I know that it has something when your selling to put an estimate on its worth but some of my things are rare or one of a kind. I am in need of a website where i can freely, easily, and quickly get rough values for these things.

  1. ask a sport memrobila shop what theyd sell it for if they were selling it
  2. steinner sports.com in NYC. they are a very good company I asked about some things taht I needed replaced and they were honest and knowledgable. they are not scammers. I would go with them for the best prices. good luck
  3. Ebay is the best site to research for what anything actually is worth, based on the amount it actually sells for. Or, to know exactly how much money you expect to gain from selling your items, take them to a pawnshop and ask them how much you can get in exchange for them. I have checked many collectors sites and price guides for my own memorabilia and other various items which seem to mislead people by basing value on the best possible conditions. Don't be fooled by such guides, if an item is listed (for example) in a Beckett PG as being worth $100, don't expect to be able to walk into any collectors shop and demand a C-Note. First, search your item on EBay and see what range it has been sold for recently or how high the current bids are going. Some items supposed value are unrealistically inflated due to expected (guessed) demand, when in all actuality there is normally not near as much actual consumer demand that the estimate leads people to believe. Then take those same items into a pawnbroker and ask about getting a loan or selling such items. They are in the business of buying cheap and selling high, in order to succeed as a business. So they have actual experience of the basic consumer wants and needs and market value/demand. For example: I have a John Elway limited edition plate. I bought this plate at a local pawnshop for $80. I searched EBay for this plate and after a few minutes found the exact same plate being sold for $500, but with NO bids. The seller is obviously convinced that this plate could possibly fetch $500 or more from some person out there. I on the other hand know just by looking at the bid action, or lack thereof, that this estimated value is unreasonably inflated. Hope that helps...if not send me a mssg for further explanation.
  4. Check with the Miller Boys, they deal in all types of sports memorabilia.
