what are some benefits that kids gain from playing little league baseball?

im writing a paper on little league baseball, and want to know some peoples opinions about the sport. thanks

1. It teaches responsibillity, teamwork, and sportsmanship. It helps kids to make friends. It keeps them in good shape. That's all I got...
2. It teaches them that life is not always fair. That there is favoritism as far as coaches are concerned. If someone had a good experience, it is because they were athletically gifted and got to play all the time. Otherwise, you were just a jerk sitting on the bench. I've seen it over and over and feel sorry for the kids that just can't compete.
3. Basic fundamentals and overall knowledge of the game. The longer you're around the game the more you know about it. Social skills, teamwork, communication and things like exercise.
4. that even small people who seem hopeless can produce a significant change to their environment.
