How much would a 1968 world series signed baseball be worth?

My father recently found a 1968 world series baseball signed by the Detroit Tigers. The ball is in good shape. He wants to sell it and plans to get it appraised. But how much could he expect from it? I suppose it people don't think its from 1968 its their loss....

  1. I'm sure people would beleive its actually from 1968
  2. he could expect a good 5000-10 000 dollars.
  3. It depends on a few factors. Is it on an official baseball or non official? Are the signatures in pen? Are they all the same color? Who is on the sweet spot? How many signatures are on the ball? Which players/coaches signed the ball? What condition is the ball and signatures? Has it been authenticated? As you can see there are many different factors in determining the value of a team signed ball. The value of the ball could be from $0 to a few hundred, depending on all the questions above and a few more. I would post pictures of the ball over at the PSA message board and let folks look at it, they can give you some idea of the answers you are looking for. And if it is determined to be a legit ball, we can steer you in the right direction to get it authenticated.
