How do i go about getting my baseball memorabilia autographed?

Im am a huge yankees fan, but i live a busy life and its not easy to make it to games. I have a good amount of pictures and cards of some of my favorite yankees and am wondering how to go about getting them signed. Ive researched signings, but they are few and far between, usually retired players or up and coming ones. Any input would be appreciated.

1. hhmm maybe but i doubt it maybe you could go to like the all star fanfest in new york and some ny yankee legends will be there.
2. there was a time when you could just stand by the player's entrance and catch them on the way out. Sometimes they would accommodate you. Mantle was not good that way.
3. There's a few things you can do. You can buy a book that contains addresses of all the major league players and mail them to their house with a SASE. You can go to a website that lists when players are signing. www.signingshotline.com I think is one. Go to a Yankee old timers game. They usually have one per year and a lot of the older Yankees come out for that.
